We have outgrown various hosting sites in recent years due to the amount of bandwidth the forum uses on a regular basis, hence why it now costs £500 per year to host. I've got to say, some of you are sounding like ungrateful children with your posts in this thread - which I am now going to lock. As & when the admins & the moderators have the time to sort out a new skin / new logo, we will. Until then, you're just going to have to put up with what we have at the moment. Deal with it.

A family friend's son has just been diagnosed as bi-polar, at the age of 19. It's all come to a head because a close friend of his died from an allergic reaction to steroids (of the illegal body building variety) and he just wasn't coping with his friends death. Things have had to hit absolute rock bottom for him to be able to get help - it's just not how things should be. Best of luck for the cause.

All the types still listed in the thread are still available. In fact, just to stop people from constantly asking me how many I have left & if I have I still have a certain type available, I'm going to update the thread with the EXACT number I have left.

I've said it before & I'll say it again... we will not be doing new stickers until I've sold the majority of the older stickers. Why should I create a new thread? Because people are too stupid to read the thread that I update whenever anything changes?

The club has not "decided that there isn't going to be a new logo", I think you lot need to realise that we all have jobs, families, lives etc outside CL and that the world does not revolve around it. As I have said before, I will organise a competition when I can.

Still not working for me. And image tags aren't working properly for me either it would seem (although after 4 attempts, I got it to work). I blame Vista.

GTI's registered before the change over (which was 1 March 2001 as Mike has already mentioned) are taxed on engine capacity, not CO2 and actually work out more expensive - mine was registered Feb 2001 and was over £200 to tax. It's probably different emissions due to the different gearing/gearbox between a 5 speed and a 6 speed?

As I've already said, it's time for a new logo - which will be done via a design competition like we did for the tshirts. However, as I paid for the stickers myself, I need to sell them first before we do anything new.

Due to copyright restrictions, we won't be using the VW logo in stickers. There was a regional VW club who got in trouble with VW for using the logo without permission a little while ago. Can't remember who though!

It needs to be registered on or after 1 March 2001 to be on CO2 emissions. (I know this because my GTI was registered 14 Feb 2001 & its RFL was on engine capacity, not CO2)
