  1. I hope it was not Our Queen - as that flag is upside-down - a sign of distress. http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/geography/unionjack7.html
  2. I got a few for ya: I was surprised to see you had not opted for chrome indicator lamps - not expensive but stop that glare of orange coming through against the white in close-ups ;-)
  3. Well Danny and Melissa have been busy with a few more subtle touches. New clean magnetic tax disc holder: Team Heko Wind Deflectors: Stickerbombed VW badge and new reg plates: Blue Magic tree air freshener: Chrome Indicator lamps: Other than fixing the drivers door check strap I reckon thats job done. All it needs now is cleaning/polishing and detailing...oh and driving Just off out to kill some more flies!
  4. LOL @ JampotJamie - was the (other girl) in the back seat??? If so that was me! PSML

  6. Someone is selling these in the classified section bud: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?app=classifieds&module=core&do=view_item&item_id=796
  7. Ride is slightly firmer than stock - but nowhere near hard - certainly not as firm as my stock Toyota Celica vvti. Dead easy to do.
  8. What no piccies to show all the lads what a stunner you are! #tattoos, #suicide girls, #1950's pin-up
  9. Just lowered Melissa's using these springs: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4166d7250a This is what it looked like on Stock springs: This is what it looks like now: Running on 15 inch Mini ONE Inova wheels with 185/55/r15 tyres. Nothing hits, scrapes or scuffs and we kept the stock shocks.

    Lupo on 15s

Just lowered Melissa's using these springs: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4166d7250a This is what it looks like now: This what it looked like on Stock springs:
  11. Well the sun actually came out today So I waved the lowering stick at Melissa's Lupo. Here are some Pics. Melissa took a few more in-depth pics with her phone as we went about lowering it I will drop them in the "How to Lower a Lupo" thread - it may help others in the future we used these springs: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4166d7250a - cheapest on ebay. BEFORE AFTER

    Lupo on 15s

    Standard height Lupo on 15s:
  14. As promised - here are a few photos - the rain stopped for a while this afternoon We fitted some "Soft blue" resin VW logos to the centre-caps
  15. I just put a set of these on Melissa's Lupo - and the ones we got were 5.5J - we fitted 185/50 r15 tyres and they look ok - just need to hit it wth the lowering stick as soon as i get a chance. Wheel Size - 5.5J x 15 Offset - ET45 Tyres - 185/55 r15 Other information: No spacers needed - used standard wheel bolts. No rolling of arch needed. Trimmed inside lip of rear mudflap where it fits around body panel to give extra clearance. Wheels were originally fitted to BMW Mini ONE. They are called "Imola" - they are a lightweight alloy wheel at 12lb per wheel. Had to bore the hole centre out to 57.1mm. Centre caps pop out and take a standard 50mm VW badge.
  16. Yeah - because nobody ever questions the integrity of a police office in court do they! LOL.
  17. Your biggest issue - is going to be proving that the registration plate that you claim was on the car - was actually on the car at the time you were given the caution. By that I mean anyone with an illegal plate could have been stopped and given the same ticket as you and then wait until the coppers had gone and put legal plates back on and then claim these plates were actually on the car at the time the officer stopped them. Ponits that may help you in your claim: Did the officer take a photograph or video of the vehicle with the plates on it? If not there is no evidence an illegal plate was on your vehicle at the time. It will then be your word against his - you a "lay person" him an "upstanding member of the community" Did you ask to write a note in his notebook at the time and get him to sign it saying that you were going to contest the case? If you did great - you can use this as evidence in court. You can at any time ask to make a note in a police officers notebook - always a good ides to do so at the end of his statement - to sytop them adding more information after the fact ;-) Did you take a photo of the copper next to the plate at the time? Again you could use it as evidence of what regisration plate was on the car at the time you were stopped. Did the police officer check the retro-refexivity of the plate at the time - If he did not how did he determine it was not up to the given standard? ...and moreover did he state that that was the reason for the ticket...or did he mention another reason for the non-conformity of the registration plate?
  18. Cheers for the compliments. Her mum wanted her to have a brand new car...but she was adamant she wanted a soft blue Lupo! We looked at quite a few dogs, before we found this one. I am quite picky when buying cars, the odd small scratch or scuff mark I can put up with - As I can get these cut out and restored, so long as the car is panel straight and well maintained - as it gives you a good starting point to make a nice car.
  19. Here are a few piccies of Melissa Soft blue Lupo we recently bought. 45,000 miles from new, One owner - took a while to find a nice panel-straight, low-mileage one in soft blue - but we got there in the end Got it home and threw the wheel trims away and set about giving it a proper clean - detailing can come later We have now replaced the registration plates, put chrome indicator lamps in front lights and replaced the stock steel wheels with alloys. See more about the alloys here: http://forums.clublu...0 Sorry about the quality of the last two photos - Melissa took them on her phone just as it started to rain - as she wanted some photos of the car on the new wheels. I will take a few nice ones should it ever stop raining!
  20. Wheel Size - 5.5J x 15 Offset - ET45 Tyres - 185/55 r15 Other information: No spacers needed - used standard wheel bolts. No rolling of arch needed. Here are a couple taken with the phone to give you an idea.
  21. Would you please check now - as i am hoping to pick these wheels up at dinner tomorrow bud. If they are 7J and Et38 then thats not good news for us - as you probably know ET29 is 18mm nearer the lip and a 7.5 J is wider too. Could you ask all your loopo buddies and get me a definitive answer please - then I will get some piccies up of Melissa's Lupo up for ya.
  22. Cheers Koop - I really dont wanrt to have to roll the arches for her - hence the question. What offset and J rating were the Lensos??? Do you know of any piccies with Lupos running 16 x 7.5J ET20 wheels??? Even if they are on lowered cars I will be able to get some idea - I don't really want to buy the wheels and then find they rub - as i have an option to get some pukka Lupo GTI wheels - but Melissa likes the look of these wheels. Anyone else have any input?
  23. I know this is my first post but have had a good look around and can't find details and could do with knowing ASAP so I can buy the wheels. Will 16 x 7.5J ET20 4 x100 PCD wheels with 195/45/16 tyres fit a stock height lupo 1.0e???? Anyone running them or know someone running them??? Is there a build thread I could read with them??? cheers Geof
