20v 1.8T Conversion........423BHP 2019 Updates!
Koop replied to My_Names_Buck's topic in Project Cars
393 bhp...jeebus! Love that you've kept the looks reasonably standard. I'd love to do a 1.0, keep the back end standard - complete with 1.0 badge - with Audi stylee front end & TT/S3 engine up front. It's the reverse mullet car - party up front, business in the back -
2 shiny new no. plates & a good scrub later...
-
Nobbing no. plate dropped off just got pulled that'll be one crossed off the list tomorrow haha
-
Passenger mirror?
-
There's a few peeps breaking loops in the parts for sale section, might be worth a look for a new mirror? There's quite a few on ebay n all, I've been looking lately to see if I could pick up a pair in red but for some reason the vast majority are passenger side only - what are people doing to their driver's side mirrors?!
-
Oh I forgot wind deflectors. These are the wheels that will be going on once I've refurb'd 'em: Weighing up whether to go black, silver or gunmetal. Or even red. Decisions decisions! Will be sticking dub caps in the centres so my dust caps will be miniature versions of the centre caps
-
Aye spotted them, bit out of my price range...but if a big bag of cash falls out of the sky mine will be going black & purple haha
-
Yeah I just stabbed buttons, shouted at it, gave up & stuck a CD on...did the trick!
-
She's proper tidy n no mistake, love all the purple detailing, especially them wheels - want!
-
I managed to turn that on by accident the other day, seems to have stopped by magic so no idea how to stop it on purpose. Yeah I realise I'm not much help, just letting you know I feel your pain lol
-
and here was me thinking you'd ratted her proper...illusion shattered haha thought it looked a bit shiny!
-
Interesting to find this connection as I was planning to get a mini when when my wife passed her test...however i've now fallen in love with the loop so new plan is to get a sport! Still love minis though, will stick a v-twin bike engine in one if I have more money than sense one day hehe
-
I just bought my new wheels from Wrexham...small world lol Not clear if the pic's pre- or post-mod...have you de-badged the front & if so do you still have the standard grille? Need one for a custom jobby i'm planning
-
I'm liking the arosa w/lupo front end idea, seems to be a nice way to save a few quid might look into it when it comes to getting me sport
-
That tank is bare win haha
-
Ah so this is why Staff wants to swap Lenny's with me I'm thinking about it, not fussed about hate tbh, back end still looks too standard lol
-
Plans I'm currently hatching..... Refurb me wheels! Not sure on colour yet Custom front grille (want mesh but don't wanna lose the badge - just gonna get a standard grille & chop it to bits!) Replace tatty reg plates Bodywork - apart from a few dents & scrapes she's had some crappy touching up done so wants some G3 & a good polish Red mirrors, quite like to get a black-with-red-bits theme going on GTI trim & Mk3 Golf 16v badge for the grille (continuing the theme!) Red seats...missed out on a full set on ebay that went for 11 quid the other week...gutted Arosa Mk2 rear lights Mud flaps...though I love the ridiculous amount of tyre you can see at the back without haha ideas welcome lol
-
Yeah me julie won't let me drop it haha Ideally I'd like to find a set of VW sport springs, assuming (in a wishful thinking sort of way) that as an option that would have been available on the car when new I'd get away with them on the insurance. Plus the wife probably wouldn't notice a measly 20mm drop
-
Props for thinking outside the box dude! Loving the old skool chrome touches. What's with the ballpit in the boot?! haha
-
Hmm possibly, spotted my rears were looking a bit ropey when I replaced the bumper the other day. Pics?
-
Mine only cost a grand to buy haha Another grand would see her back end straightened out, she's had some less than perfect filling n shiz following a rear end smash a few owners ago & the petrol flap & d/s light don't fit quite flush. I can live with it (it was cheap & it's gonna be the wife's when she passes her test so hopefully i'll have a sport before too long) but it's annoying as it'll never look quite perfect so would be nice to be able to sort it
-
Mmmm, shiny! Looking well tidy mucker. 'rosa rear lights look pretty nice was thinking about them for mine
-
Cr*ppy phone pics but you get the idea lol Quite pleased with myself never made a single modification to any vehicle before I got this! So needs dropping, only way I can think of getting round the insurance is to use VW's own -20mm spring kit but at 500 quid I might as well just drop her properly & pay the extra premium. Ho hum. Must have patience & wait til I get my Sport
