  9. Thanks for all the suggestions. Will have a look tonight. The windows opening and closing with the key is working fine - I put the windows back up with the key hoping this might sort the problem, but they still went back down again after a few mins. How did you find out the fault was with the lock?

    LOST

Watched series 1 and 2 on tv, then we got 3 on box set and caught up with that while 4 was on. We Sky+'d series 4 and just recently watched that - except the final episode which we still have to watch, so nearly ready for series 5 on Sunday!!! Can't wait. They lost their way a bit on series 3 when they didn't really know where they were going, but I thought 4 was great.
  11. Byron went to change my sidelight bulbs last night, and took the full beam one out by mistake and broke it - he pinched bulbs from various other cars in the unit and it wouldn't work with any of them. (The bulb inside the headlight wasn't working, and the xenon wasn't flashing either - is this because the other bulb isn't working?) So we proceeded to change the sidelight bulbs and all of a sudden passengers window goes down!!! I put it back up and intermittently it kept going back down. We finished changing the bulbs - the full beam on the passengers side still not working - locked the car and after a few mins both windows went down! We tried leaving locked and unlocked for different lengths of time and after a few misn they went down. We pulled out all the fuses for lights and windows, checked them all - fine - and put them back in. We left the car for different periods of time and the windows stayed up - sorted! ... or not! I took the car home and asked Byron to check it when he came up the road - all was fine. I went out this morning to go to work and both windows were open!!! (For how long I don't know) I drove to work and they never went down over the 25 mile journey, parked up and locked the car. Checked it half an hour later and the windows were down! I went out to put them up and by the time I got the key out and opened the door they were on their way down again. Help please!!! Any ideas??? Are the window issues related to the bulb being out, or is this an unfortunate coincidence?
  12. TF3 4JH - I think. If its not exact its very close!
  13. The standard tyres are Dunlop 205/45/15's. Only Dunlop and Toyo make them this size. There can sometime be shortages and difficulty when trying to source them, and they are about £90 each. It is quite a big tyre for the size of the rim, and quite a lot of people down-size to 195/45/15 when changing ... there is a lot more choice in this size too (the equivalent Toyo's are about £45). The side skirt is part of whole section of the car - don't think they can be sourced separately. You would maybe either have to have it filled (if possible), or find another GTi in a scrappys (you'll be lucky!) and cut and weld the section you need.
  14. Aw Claire that sounds awful hope you are feeling better soon!
  15. Its a Momo Millenium. Straight forward enought to fit and get he horn working etc - there was just a small bit of the plastic coil thing for the airbag poking out the side when he fitted it, he never noticed and turned the wheel and it snapped. So just make sure that everything is coiled up and tucked in correctly! Better, close up pic ...
  16. Byron and I will probably venture up for this.
  17. I bought the air-bag boss for my Momo steering wheel. It comes with a resistor to put in so that the light doesn't come on. Unfortunately, when Byron fitted mine he got a cable trapped in the wheel and it snapped when he turned it ... now my light is on. Was MOT'd at the end on November with no issues.
  18. http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/ Try them ... that's where I got mine a couple of years ago. Look slike they still do them in a 7x15 et 32.
  19. You wouldn't think it's won prizes looking at the nick of it sitting outside just now!!! My 2p worth ... I don't mind the look of the bras, wouldn't have one, but each to their own. If its for looks fair enough, but as for protection, I have spoken to a few people who have ended up with scratches due to either there being something on the inside of the bra, or the car not being completely clean when put on. I got a stone chip within 5 mins of leaving my house on the first day out with the Lupo after it was out of the paintshop. Incidently it was on the way to a show, but it was 5 mins from my door on a road I drive every day to work! I bought my car to drive it, and enjoy it. Yes I obviously take pride in it and want to keep it looking mint, but $h1t happens!
  20. Not quite as far as some of the other shows for us!!! 1: Caspergti 2: Linz
  21. Thank you. I'll have a look when I get home.
  22. That is what I thought, but after 3 days and multiple visits to the same pages/forums (ebay/halifax/club lupo/etc) it is not autofilling. I know its really lazy, and really not that hard to type a few letters but I am just used to it!
