Does anyone know if a 1.4 16v (75bhp) throttle body and airbox will work on a 1.6 16v Polo GTi engine? Assuming the TB doesn't work, and we fit the Golf/Bora 2.0 8v TB, what airbox is required?

Progress, I'll get some pics next week. Things crossed off the "to buy" list: - Polo GTi Engine - Coilovers - 280mm brakes. So all I really need now are the wheels, as I'm leaving the PAS in for the time being, its something that can be looked at later. Started stripping the front end today, hopefully next weekend we'll drain the fluids out and start disconnecting/labelling and general preparing for the actual changeover.

Lets sort one for Ed38. I need a couple of volunteers: 1. Someone to keep it/look after it for future shows 2. Some arty person to "Customise" is. For 2, I'm thinking that instead of paying a fortune for a professional personalised Gazebo (and they are expensive...Mk4 forum paid something rediculous for theirs) we could by a cheap one and personalise it ourselves...but something tasteful! I.e., not going all Clairy Fairy and having it pink with tassels.... Can anyone advise as to what steering racks would fit a Lupo, and which are non-PAS? Done a search on eBay, and there are a few racks, one from a 99 Polo for £25...can't tell if its non-PAS though. But for £50 I can get a brand new rack from a 1998 Polo for £50 from Eurocarparts...(edit - its from a Mk3)

320bhp, and even when its 'nailed' in 2nd its not unmanageable, although I do have a Torsen diff. New Focus RS has 300bhp, that handles it very well I understand. Electronic diffs are coming along too, reports on Alfa's electronic 'Q2' have been decent, they're using it for the new MiTo GTA.
