yeah! just wish people would make their cars their own, rather than what the other members like. each to their own. there is a difference asking for advice and asking for people to tell you what to do!

kind of winding me up now, maybe its just me. I understand the forum principle and it is amazing for finding out important information, but some threads ask the most crazy questions... shall i paint these?, do i fit these?, what colour shall i go? etc etc, its your blinking car, do what YOU want!!

running an amp for fronts is pretty easy, so i would advise to get the fronts with a reasonable power handling in case you want to amp in the future.

you'd be suprised at what difference a set of 40 quid speakers would make i think. in my old arosa, i had a 70 quid headunit, 50 quid door speakers, 100 quid amp for the fronts and a 80 quid sub. managed to get a reasonable volume and quality for that money.

anything would be an improvement, you looking at a new Headunit or just standard? coz if your sticking with standard, dont go mad on speakers, it wont be worth it really. you can pick up reasonable speakers for 30-40 quid

well the dune has gone!, now bought myself a little lupo! both are 1.0 ltr monsters! nice little motor, seems clean and tidy. came with a set of reps (lenso) so these will be going on the loop, once ive got some rubber stretched onto them, then the cades eros will be put on the mk1, think these will end up being painted peach! the loop is on KW coils and the mk1 will end up on ebay specials (jom, ta's etc)

it would be a start! got to start somewhere!

not the best brand, but Christ!, lots of power for that money. top quality is only really relevant if your front components are also similar quality if that makes sense.

just worked out how to do an avatar!! lol, easier than it used to be on these boards! got the gf on here now aswell, with her own account! so i'll leave her to do her own build thread, seen as i did buy it for her!, i'm sure the odd photo will filter through!

yeah, bought her last weekend, low mileage (63k) and 1 owner from new! serviced every 3-4k! took an hour or two to polish her up with AG SRP, she looked good! don't think it had ever seen a bit of polish!

make sure you build the enclosure to suit (size/sealed etc) to get the best out of it, eitherwise you may as well buy a £60 fli active!!

must be having a permanent live off one of them. have you got a multimeter/voltage checker, test wiring then work it out from there?
