  1. True ! its a way of improving i see it as and without spending much money in most cases
  2. Might fit a black interior mirror i have from an early lupo tonight (1999) ones which have alpha headunit, white clocks, solid headrests etc
  3. Did this yesterday: As you might of seen when i first had the car it had a tow bar fitted to it, so had a hole cut out of the bumper, and uses a different type metal support bar behind the bumper?! because of that. Need a re-spray now. Also removed lower bumper as its damaged. time to get things back to how they should be. So now im driving round with it looking a mess at the moment.
  4. Drained the coolant today ready for a new radiator sensor Flushed it with water Repeated this 4 times then what was coming out was clear. Was going to replace the coolant hose clips/clamps But unfortunately they didn't fit. Old sensor: New sensor: Then filled the cooling system up again Used one of these, then filled it up with water. 1:1
  5. Happened a few months ago but thought i'd add it to bulk up this thread... Had toe and camber corrected Then bought an original specification Michelin ENERGY 175/65/13 tyre.
  6. Yeah it has an issue But..for use of a better phrase, especially at low speeds they are jerky, even friends that have 6N2 Polo's have agreed that theirs are like that. Can't believe it uses more fuel im clutch down everywhere. but yeah you have a good point. Could be the mount and or something else, would love to have the custom mod that 'nfbr' does to them by filling them with a resin ?
  7. I know that lupo's are jerky on the throttle (down to the design of the lower engine/dog bone mount i reckon) and i try to drive and disengage the clutch smoothly but as much as i try it's still not always smooth when you change gear and bring the clutch back up you really have to try lol. And also when i break the power by depressing the clutch (say i'm traveling at a speed and see lights change so coast up towards) theres a driveline shunt, which leads me to believe that the mounts bush has worn, but theres no upgraded poly bush version of the mounts bush out there. Anyone else have this problem.
  8. Could any one tell me if there is any difference between any other components such as GTI wishbones etc as people say the GTI is much more solid and stiffer, so i was wondering if its worth doing anything like this.
  9. See how clean his mats are though ? haha! i'd really love to be able to get my mats as clean as he gets his
  10. Money aside as well as an exhaust system with a 4-1 manifold i would prefer and a re-map.. a 4 paddle or heavy duty organic clutch then a Quaife limited slip differential. that would be awesome and thats what i want to do to a GTI
  11. They are different... and i definately wouldn't be able to do that. but thanks for the reply tho
  12. I'd like to now this as well as i can get a GTI front anti-roll bar i could then measure the anti-roll bar on my 1.0 if i replaced it. if anyone doesn't say the rough diameter of the one on the 1.0 EDIT: right i think non gti is 18mm and GTI is 20mm correct me if im wrong though
  13. While the seat was out i called a friend over and it give a chance to compare the seat frames with ones on the polo gti seats i have. just need to know what can be done to make those other seats go in the lupo (other thread created for that)
  14. Took the passenger seat out earlier Made a mess of this Was hard to get these out neatly After absolutely mutilating the other cap, you cant even put it back on now (no picture) i was wondering why the other one was difficult to get off... i never unscrewed it... so on accident ripped it clean out...result: Gutted... have to buy two new ones now...if i can. Dale !............ lol Whats an easier way to get the covers off to get the the screw thats keeping the plastic cover in thats stops the seat from lifting out ? Once the seat was out i hoovered and then shampoo'd with some autosmart brisk extra.
  15. I have Polo 6N2 GTI seats and want to fit them into my Lupo. They work differently to the lupo's seats as they dont use runners. here's some pics: Left: Polo seat Right: Lupo seat Polo seat: Lupo seat: Now to get it to work would i have to cut out the middle part and the rollers on each side then get them onto the polo seat ?
  16. My grandpa found this for me: yeah i know its a key but plastic... who can explain these ?
  17. 5W30 is recommended. Some people use 5W40 but depending on the health of your engine 5W30 maybe too thin as my friend cant use it on his AFK polo sport engine, as it burns alot of oil due to piston rings being worn as well as the valve stem oil seals and valve guides.... and i've looked at this: http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-713-castrol-edge-5w-30-fst-fully-synthetic-engine-oil.aspx and this: http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-60250-millers-oils-xf-longlife-5w-30.aspx
  18. Why is it that everytime i do anything to my car i brake it or make things worse !

  19. Why isit that everything i attempt to do anything to my car i brake it or make it worse !

  20. Is the smoothed rear bumper a GTI one or the standard one ? just doesn't say in the discription.
