  1. Nothing flash really, but a nice litle car. OZ Optimas Lowered 60mm Team Heko Wind Deflectors And thats about it, its a 1.0 litre Lupo, I dont see the point in doing much else although she has her eyes on my Porsche Cookie Cutters. Front wheel centres are missing in the pic, but its just because I forgot to put them in after getting the wheels balanced.
  2. Most good signwriters will do it for you mate. I used to be one and its a piece of piss.
  3. I don't get it, just like rusty bonnets I think it's dated before it started.
  4. £800 for a set of polished D90's on another site made me chuckle like a spacker on glue. Tatty Weller 8 spokes for over £200!?!?! I used to scrap the ****ers back in the 90's!! Ive just given £120 for a set of Cookie Cutters with genuine Porsche metal centres which I think was about right, but ive even seen these for £250 plus without centres.
  5. If you get stuck get some adhesive removal formula (rapid remover) from The Vinyl Corporation. Its what I used to use to remove vehicle wraps when I was sign writing.
  6. It will be in the ECU also depending on the car age I would imagine.
  7. Which oil should I be using on a 1.0 Lupo 2002? Cheers Paul
  8. Could the grade of oil the garage used cause the issue?
  9. They looked fine, one was blocked a bit.
  10. The girlfriend had some head work done to her 1.0 (exhaust valves and head reground). Since getting it back its tappety. I have had the cam followers cleaned and refitted and for 15 miles the noise went but now its back. We are stumped now, anyone have any ideas?
  11. I was told to do that years ago by a Copper, best piece of advice ive ever been given.

Minilites should stay on Minis and old school Fords
  13. Cheers Chris, I was looking for some 4x100 - 4x108 adaptors and knew the centre bore was different but didnt think about the offset. I dont really want to go down the same old route of Porka alloys or Audi ones but thats all people seem to be doing. Also dont really like banded steels and Ronals have been done to death.
  14. Has anyone on here ever fitted 205GTi 1.9 alloys to a Lupo? Any pics?
  15. Not a car, but a cool 1981 Raleigh Grifter! Will be fully refurbished over winter.
  16. Ta mate, I was a signmaker so got all the tools to do the job a treat.
  17. Before I just pull them off, can anyone tell me if the side strips are bonded or clipped on the Lupo? (99 plate)
  18. I mean the reground head will be no more than 150 to do as a standalone job (ie no labour or parts included to remove or refit). Exhaust valves are about a tenner each so if you remove and refit the head yourself then the job should be around the 200 pound mark (may aswell replace all 4 valves). The head might not need work and the new valves may reseat, just depends when you take it to bits, you might be lucky and save 150 pound. Claires Lupo ended up getting all 4 exhaust valves replaced and the bloke at Cleasbys in the North East said he does loads as its a common fault.
  19. Theres a good chance its an exhaust valve. The GFs 1.0 Lupo was the same on 1 & 2 and yes the valves can be reseated but the head might need doing (no more than 150 pounds ontop)
  20. I think rust caused by stonechips is void if I was reading the blurb correctly.
  21. Dubmeister ones are, I cnt speak for the other ones. They buy their blanks from a german company and all BSAU standards are met.
  22. You can have pressed plates aslong as they are legally spaced (11mm between letters/numbers and 33mm between groups, they use the Charles Wright font and they also must have a BSAU stamp on them along with the suppliers (not necassarily manufacturers) details. The problem arises when the Police pull you and thery really havent got a clue. I was an agent for Dubmiester in Sunderland (Registration Station) and we had to write a few letters to the Police to ask why our customers had been stopped. Everytime the case was dropped.
