Me wife's 8 year old 1.4s developed rust on gutter line both sides, which VW have just paid to be repaired under warrenty. Whilst disappointed a VW does rust at least VW's warrenty is good. Wonder how many other brands would pay up.

Hi We have a September 2000 Lupo 1.4s and sufferred rust in the roof gutter channels, both sides. VAG did agree to pay for these repairs last month. Reasurring that a vehicle manufacturer does back up their promises with action. Thank You Volkswagen.

IS THIS THE LOWEST MILEAGE GTI?? Mine is one of the last, a 2005 gti with only 296 miles on the clock, asleep in my garage. Is this the lowest mileage GTI ??

Its a lupo SE introduced 1/8/2002 . there were 3 engine options - 1.0, 1.4 & 1.7 SDI. It had special trim and paint. Either Black (A1) or the one you spotted FRESCO GREEN METALLIC (3P). the upholstery was called "Shark" and was a mid grey seat with moss green inserts. Standard spec included 14" "Suzuka" alloys with 185/55 R14 tyres. leather steering wheel and gear lever gaiter, easy entry seats and split rear folding seats. Optional extras - Air con, single cd player and elec sunroof. On the Road prices : 1.0 se £7750, 1.4 se £8470, 1.4 se auto £9290 and 1.7 se sdi £8630. From memory think it also came with a free carry bag / holdall made in same fabric as seats. Hope this is of interest. ****Mind you having looked at your pic again, the car you spotted does not have the special alloys. So might be a standard lupo in FRESCO GREEN. The seat upholstery would be the biggest clue.*****

Hi, I had a EPC warning light problem, turned out to be a faulty Brake Light Switch, which I replaced cost £6.60 +VAT ( beware these are on back order if out of stock). To clear light on dash brought the handheld code reader for VAG cars from Grendan Ltd for £49.95. A real Bargin confirmed fault and cleared code and warning light now off. www.grendan.co.uk - Good luck

Hi, Having fixed the EPC problem by fitting new brake light switch could not clear dash warning light. thought I would try the GENDAN LTD Handheld code reader for VAG @ £49.95. Pleased to report that having purchased this piece of kit and plugged it into 16 pin socket quickly confirmed fault code to be related to Brake light switch and then sucessfully cleared code and turned off EPC warning light. Best £50 I have spent for a while - Bargin and puts you in control !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Colour Concept Pack was a factory fitted option only availabe on "s" and sport models. Only available for a limited time and very expensive at £2000. Colour combinations available were: Black - Black/Black leather Flash Red - Red/Black leather Jazz Blue - Blue/Black leather Yellow - Yellow/Black leather Fantasia Green - Green/Black leather Colour Concept pack included: colour coded leather heated sports seats, head restraints, door panel cenre and pull, handbrake grip and gear lever gaiter with contrast stitching , leather rimmed steering wheel and four "porta" 6j x 14 alloy wheels with 185/55 tyres and anti- theft wheel bolts. The special alloys were called "porta" in the sales details but in the parts list they were called "SUGO" Part No A6X0 601 025 AZ 31 and retailed at £98 in 2002. Hope this helps anyone who hasen't heard of a Lupo Colour Concept.

Went in to my local VW showroom this morning to see Fox. Does not have the quality look of the Lupo, plastics not in my opinion up to "old" Volkswagen quality. Very hard and cheap looking. Good design though for a small shopping car lots of space and the price is right. I can't see it having the VW enthusiasts taking it to their hearts more a utility vehicle for a specific purpose and that is a shame!! By the way, no fanfare launch they did not even have a price list suggested I download one from internet then told me the cars were hard to get hold of at the moment - Great salesman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just obtained a 2005 Lupo GTI brochure from Belguim and it shows the option of SAGE GREEN (W3) in the colour chart. I thought this colour was only available on a Lupo SE - special edition. Has anyone ever seen such a colour Lupo GTI. Do not fancy it myself, very bland .

Hi, I brought the 3L lower bumper/spoiler 3 years ago from my local VW dealer's parts dept but never got around to fitting it to our standard 1.4s colour concept. I still have the parts they look as if they fit, the bumper shape seems the same on both 3L and standard car ( that is where lower spoiler joins) The part No are as follows: Lower bumper/spoiler - 6E0 805 903 C B41 you also need the fog lamp cowls or blank off covers. fog lamp cowls are handed - 6E0 853 665 C 6E0 853 666 C the colour is best described as very dark grey whereas my standard car has black spoiler. I am quite happy to send pictures of the parts but do not know how to post a picture here, unless someone can educate me. Hope this will help you, it is a great looking spoiler, I even have the 3L TDI brochure (German) with closeup pictures of the spoiler detail . Have you seen the special aluminium/magnesium steering wheel for that model.
