  1. What symptons you having at the moment. Mine started hesitating pulling off in 1st gear and underload going round corners in high gears. I got a used Coilpack from Stevens Dismantlers on ebay for £24 posted and it reduced the hesitation. Bought no. 1 spark plug lead and that did not cure it. Bought the other 3 original VW leads and now running fine. Looked like I had white powder deposits on no. 3 & no. 4 connector in the coilpack ??
  2. Put my coilovers back on yesterday with a mate. Took 5 hrs lol. Garage that put my standard suspension back on while waiting new inserts had air gunned the top mount nut and had to drive to there garage to get them undone. If the spring is seperate to the shock like on the GTi, then its a piece of piss doing the rears. (Undo bottom shock nut and the rear arm drops, letting you pull the spring out). Camber on the front wheels is well out and luckily a friend of mine bought a camber gauge off ebay for £30. Could only get the wheels down to negative 2 degrees though Good luck
  3. I recently lost 2 of my Lenso BSX centre plates and just bought 2 BBS RS plates which seem to fit. When I put the BBS plates on I noticed the ally Lenso centre nut would not go on one of the alloys. Doing further investigations 2 of the centre threads do not poke out enough, as much as the other two. The front alloys have to run 5mm spacers anyway due to the alloys fouling the calipers. If one wheel is slightly wider then the other, then would that not cause the pulling issues as it would seem the wheels have been mixed and matched on the car, while having new tyres fitted. ( n/s/f longer thread, o/s/f shorter thread, n/s/r shorter thread, o/s/r longer thread ) Will swap the wheels around in the weekend to see if it solves the problem
  4. Hi, Did none of my new pics I recently emailed you help ??
  5. Mine has started getting hairy and pulling to the left which is more noticable at higher speeds. Had the brake fluid changed and still have the problem. Seemed to happen lately running standard or coilovers. Noticed today having 2 front new tyres that the n/s/f brake pads look like they have hardly worn, although the drivers side are half worn. Could it be a ceased front caliper as the car has done 92k ??
  6. Just emailed you some more pics as had 2 new front tyres fitted today.
  7. After double checking my MOT paperwork it would seem the leaking insert (Misting) was noted during the Coilover warranty period. FK were out of stock with the normal insert and have sent me 2 x FK00101 inserts which are suppossed to be 10mm lower. Looking forward to getting them back on as the car currently looks like a Jeep
  8. Hi Finally found your post in Styling ??? How did you get on with the Stevens VW Breakers ?? If you need anymore pics or measurements, drop us a text and I will get them sorted tomorrow for you.
  9. You were lucky. Most people are now being fined £60 and need to take pictures of the correct plates on the car for the DVLA. I got caught with a £30 fine running a German front plate. Tried to blag it that I had just come back from a show as the original plate was behind it. Pulled the German plate off and had a years worth of dirt behind it. Taxi lol
  10. I thought that the boy dreamt about the Polar Bear as it was on the front cover of his comic. Due to the powers of the island the Polar Bear came to life lol
  11. After 5 years of watching it, I feel cheated lol. The writers must of been making it up as they go along. The only way you can explain it is to map what's going on from the start to finish. Doubt it will link up anyway. In a nutshell though I will give it a go. They were trapped on the island pre-heaven (LOST Souls) and had to work together to get into heaven. The parallel Universe where everything was going well (Jack had a son) was the afterlife.
  12. Can anyone explain what is going on in lol. Tempted to fly out to LA and kidnap the writers.
  13. I had 60mm springs at one point with standard shocks on my GTi, The ride height looked good although the ride quality was shocking. Nearly got thrown out the drivers seat at high speed, after hitting a dip in the road
  14. Fitted mine last Saturday and concerned they are not that bright. Seen more illumination from a Glow worm But hey you cannot go wrong at £1.38 each posted from Hong Kong
  15. Hi sorry for the delay coming back. Just saw the back of the car in the distance leaving everyone at the traffic lights for dead First time I have ever seen it in East Anglia.
  16. Nice one. Just ordered 2 myself. Any pics on what they look like on a Lupo GTi ??
  17. I am sure it was the Ex Dubsport VR6 Lupo as noticed the wide bodykit.
  18. I was stuck in traffic coming into Norwich and heard the meatyness of a VR6 lump being driven in anger coming the other way on the dual carriageway. As I looked in my rear view mirror it was a Lupo. Sounded lovely
  19. The title must of been pooh as searched Lorry A1 Clio before posting and nothing there LMAO
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bloh_NtZR8 I would be touching cloth if I was the female driver involved
  21. My passenger window was only going down 2/3rd's when I had my window problems. Turns out it was the wire harness being faulty with broken/fused wires over time. (My post is also in this section recently)
  22. Hi, Did you get the window back up ?? Have you checked both the 25 amp fuses on the bottom row. Have a look in the Car Care section with my post on Electric windows & central locking issues.
  23. He actually spent over 10 hrs fixing/finding the fault although only charged me the 6.25hrs as I had already mentioned I don't want to be spending £400 on labour finding a fault. LOL @ mixing the window switches. Could not find hardly anything on this subject when I was investigating the faults. Hopefully it will save future GTi owners being raped on high labour charges trying to find the fault.
