  1. We had a problem in my mum's (now mine) TDi. we took off the door cards and we could hear the motor WANTING to work as you described. we took all of the brass coloured screws (i think they were 10/12mm) and so the arms/motors were flopping around, and then we pushed the glass and tried the switch and it worked, it seems that it had got stuck at the top of the stroke (like when those elbow joints on the top of firedoors double joint the wrong way.) We then screwed it all back on and replaced the cards and it worked, just for safety.. we lubricated the arms and that with GT85/WD40 and she seems to be working well from both Passenger switch and drivers
  2. i have a small theory.. of how it may be done.. but i would be very surprised if its right. What if the pingpong balls are made of of some camara style light reaction meterial. all he would have to do would be to project a small sillouette of the correct numbers, and shine a concentrated beam onto the balls, to burn the number into the photo-iridecent surface?. Just a thought .

  13. Right. Step 1. Remove The Two Screws Underneath your cup holders ( Just on the underside on the edges) Then remove the Cup Holder unit. Step 2. Get your hands up and under at the back of the radio/Cubby Hole.. and jsut push/pull while pressing on the face of the console. and eventully you will wiggle and work the radio and cubby hole out. I nearly gave up.. but persevere and it will go BANG and pop out eventually. . Gently Disconnect your radio leads.. and slide her out.

  22. I did mine with my mate last night... he did his on a corsa and said after you remove the nut.. you may need a 'Ball Joint Remover' to get it off.. but we jsut sprayed it with GT85.. and used a bit of man muscle to get her off .. jsut put against your windscreen and thumb on the water jet and didnt have a grommet that fitted caus he had the biggest on his corsa.. so used the old rubber and put the 19mm grommet in the end of that... Quick fix (Y). and my Rear Jet has been ****er for years... so i jsut clipped it and put some superglue in the end to prevent any minging water thats left from coming out. took us MAX 10 mins <3
