  1. Depends on the wheel sizes to the maximum and minimum offsets. Most minilites are low offset so they will more than likely poke
  2. They are all the same coilover, Jom/technix etc, all the £200 ish ones
  3. Ta technix Jom Race land All the cheap ones go low enough, if it's not low enough stuff can be removed for extra lows!
  4. Whack some TA technix/jom/racelands on. They are all the same. Can't go wrong for £200, yes they are a bit harsh and bumpy but certainly liveable!
  5. On the pillars will more than likely be deemed as stone chips that have then went rusty. My sport had rust in the gutter rails, a tiny little bubble. Took it down, the bloke measured paint depths checked for stone chips etc. The repair was approved, for the gutter and surrounding area, when they took the gutter strips out there was rust on both sides leading down the roof and to the screen. Consequently the whole roof was painted, both quarters to the rub strips. Done a great job too!
  6. There's no bickering! Just opinion and chat.
  7. Haha fair enough!
  8. I meant second hand g60's with tyres already on, shouldn't be more than £200. And it's true alloys would set you back a similar amount!
  9. Get some g60's with tyres on, shouldn't set you back too much. Problem with getting steels from the scrapyard is that they will more than likely have mahoosive balloon tyres on them so you will have to fork out for smaller profile. Making the price more than g60 price if you have a clue what I am going on about!
  10. £40 is still steep to paint steels!
  11. Thing is wheels would change your insurance premium too! £60 quid to spray some steels, jeez! Get them off the car, give them a sand down and paint them with rattle cans. £20 quid and a Saturday afternoon tops. I certainly wouldn't be paying anyone to spray steels!
  12. Go for coilovers before wheels dude. Get it low, then keep your wheel money until something pops up that takes your fancy! There is a nice set of Borbets in the classifieds, or for £600 you should be able to get some RM's with tyres.

    wheels?

Yes, I would imagine they will scrub like mad. They robably bend your arches out on the front if you were low The 195/50 are massive tyres on the lupo

    wheels?

If you want poke get 8" rears, or 7" with low offset <et15 And J isn't the measurement for width, it is the shape of the bead.
  15. Just use normal sealant, there is guides all over. Try on edition there is thread about it on there!
  16. My bro has removed his on his 52 plate tdi, and they are screwed on. They are nicely polished now!
  17. ^koop, you know you have too many splits when you have almost 4 sets :S The oz are awesome, I have a set in 16x9 with huge stepped lips proper old school motorsport jobbies. If you err have a few caps or are gettin some made drop me a pm, I may be interested!
  18. Mine are satin finish. Just depended how much matting agent the paint shop added to the lacquer. They are a doddle to clean, muck just washes off like a normal gloss finish.
  19. I painted my wheels with matte/satin lacquer. Etch primer 2k metallic base coat 2k matte lacquer Used an air gun not just rattle cans, they have held up well so far (4 months) so pretty happy with the results
  20. Good point koop and deadmetal.
  21. Good idea, I doubt it will stop threads asking about fitment though. Personally on 15x7, for rear flush fitment you want to be at et15 with 165/50's with around et25 on the front
  22. I struggled on static for while, how silly
  23. Advans are great wheels, one of the best 3 spokes around. Got a set on my golf
  24. Set of 15x7 BBS RF's over on edition. Or get fifteen52 to make some 15" tarmacs, they would look nuts
  25. eBay item number: 280886760821
