Mike-a
My girlfriend wants to learn how to drive but she doesn't have anyone over 21 to sit in the passenger seat, I don't want to risk her damaging any cars and want to stay out the way so does anyone know any really empty or abandoned roads or car parks in or surrounding kent for me, or post anywhere you know with it's location for everyone
Silver!
Buy her some lessons as a gift. It's the safest way.

Dblock
If you to teach your girlfriend to drive it will result in fights and you even splitting up.

danoid
Lessons will be best, she'll pick up your "bad" habbits. One thing that would be good to teach before is clutch control, even if she just watches you lift it up, it can help.I remember secretly watching my mum drive loads before i started lessons, helped quite a bit Best place usually is an industrial estate on a weekend, but remember she will still need insurance, and should a rozzer be fishing for money then the day will end bad for her Edited April 21, 2014 by danoid
Skezza
To be fair to those telling the OP to simply buy her lessons, a lot of tutors now demand that new students at least know 'basic' driving knowledge:Clutch control e.g. pulling off, stopping without stalling and changing gears at the appropriate time.Use of turn signalsRoundaboutsI'm sure there are many who would be happy to teach a total novice from the off (more money after all), but I think for these guys who actually take the job seriously and not as a cash-cow, they prefer students with a bit of knowledge so they can focus on them improving their abilities rather than the most simplest of driving skills. Just my 0.2 pence.
