lanky28
i've removed one side of sidestrips but on the other side they look like they have been stuck on using foam sticky pads and glue, the only problem is the glue is solid and im not sure how to get it off, anybody know how? lanky28
i did that with the other side but on this side it looks like they've been taken of before then put back on with superglue and foam strips, but the glue wont come off
Koop
Superglue, eek, hope you're wrong! Have you tried heating it?
lanky28
no mate dont wanna use a heat gun it might damage my paint but i dont think a hair dryer will be hot enough, it really looks like superglue, might be able to get it off but it looks like it will leave a mark
Koop
I was just thinking heat it up a bit & see if it gets any more pliable. Could try lighter fluid it's what I always use. Don't know of any solvents that will work on superglue though.
lanky28
il give it go, its a right pain though to get off

joshuaar
What is your current method of removing the glue? Don't use anything sharp or too harsh otherwise you are obviously going to remove paint
lanky28
i just took about 1cm long off with my nail and i think the clear coats come with it
joshuaar
i just took about 1cm long off with my nail and i think the clear coats come with it Quite possibly :L you have to remember that you are removing glue attached to your paint, do it the proper way by carefully heating, dental floss underneath and then a microfiber cloth with tar and bug remover and a few hours elbow grease. The key is patience otherwise your going to do hundreds of pounds of damage Edited June 26, 2012 by joshuaar
