Skezza
I was driving down the road today and my radio frizzed up and the only way to properly reboot the radio is to remove the key. I removed the key while moving and coasted for about 30 seconds.I tried to restart the car and I heard a very very long beep. It then refused to start. I upped the bonnet as I thought I'd possible sucked in air. I had not. After about a minute, it started fine and drove perfectly. What is this likely to be? I always thought a long beep was oil pressure but there are no warning lights or messages in VAG-COM?

mattarosa
If our SE is anything to go by then oil is 3 beeps then a gap then 3 beeps, pain in the arse.
Skezza
One long beep. Been told possible imminent battery failure.
danoid
Take it to halfrauds, pretty sure they do free battery checks, then buy and fit yourself.I would have thought once the cars started it would be fine, unless your altnerator is funny.Could always check the connectors arn't corrored but should be
Skezza
Might do that in fact.
