mattarosa
If you take the door cards off then there will be the holes for speakers because some GTIs have them and loads of people have done it.

Silver!
All GTIs have rear speakers and an audio mesh panel on the rear doorcards. Some non GTIs have the holes there for the mid and tweeter. Pull off your door card and have a look.
lupogtiboy
In my GTI, I've fitted some JBL 6.5'' speakers and the tweeters are the oe ones. You can't fit coaxial speakers behind the rear panel as the tweeters stick out too much. The main speakers fitted by VW have odd fixings, so I had to make an adaptor ring out of mdf to get them to fit. I've never found any adaptors from anywhere that will help in the rear on a lupo, as only the gti comes with them from the factory. I was toying with the idea of fitting some slightly smaller (5 1/4'') in the back so that I could make a better adaptor ring that sealed better, but I can't be bothered at the moment!
Loop_The_Bass
so the 6.5 are a nice fit? with your adapter ring you made was that just to bring it forward so its sitting proud?
Loop_The_Bass
was thinking about these as ive got Hertz in the loop at the mo and highly rate them!http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/her-dsk170.3-hertz-dieci-dsk-170.3.html
lupogtiboy
The adaptor ring I made is because the factory speakers have 'ears' where they screw into the panel, so I had to make them fit.
Dblock
My arosa sport had rear speakers? Me personally would spend more money upfront and just disconnect the rears unless your have passengers or like the rear fill.
Loop_The_Bass
Cheers for the help guys!Ive got a boot build and i just need a little more rear fill from the back but just enough have behind me because the 6x9 in the parcel shelf boost out towards the rear when the tailgate is up.
