bassnectar
Hello everyone! I own a 2002 SEAT AROSA 1.4 petrol with 60hpI'll like to improve the horsepower to 70-80. ¿Is there a way to improve the horse power to those values? My old 91' mk2 polo had a 1.3 MPI 8v engine with 75hp (and CAT) so I think it must be possible to get 75hp in a newer engine with more advanced inyection system and higher displacement. Is it hard? is there a better cams or something for that 1.4 engine to get more hp?I love the car and i miss some extra power but the 16v arosa is rare and expensive and I'm sure I'll be fine with 75hp.thanks for your help.PS: I don't like diesel so I won't get the 75hp diesel arosa/lupo
Adam R4
1.4 8v are 75bhp aren't they? 1.4 16v are 100bhp..

lupogtiboy
I'm guessing that as he is based in Spain that they may have made an 8v 1.4 there, which I'd guess will be either the AEX,APU or APE engine code, so I'd go with then usual exhaust and air filter and see if that makes a difference. My old 6N polo was a 1.4 8v and was surprisingly nippy, so in an Arosa which is lighter, should feel more nippy!!!
