I would say it's guaranteed to be illegal, but whether coppers are that bothered who knows. I'm pretty certain the rainbow bulbs fitted in my headlights are illegal (certainly questionnable), but I drove through the town centre the other day at night when it was full of coppers and even parked quite near to where all the Barry boys dump their Saxo shitters and I didn't have a problem.

Most policeman have better things to do.

Truthfully sophie, I think you could do with fixing your other problems first.

If you do decide to do the Joey Mod you should follow this tutorial:

http://www.vwforum.com/forums/f15/diy-joey-mod-mk4-gti-golf-48315/

It's pretty concise. I don't think you have to prime it so just get stuck in.

No flyeye. Some people don't like the way it looks up close but it is legal.

Spraying is illegal and will reduce the light emitted through.

Look at the pics as I don't think it looks that bad,

The Joey Mod is not illegal. Any mod that reduces the light emitted is pretty much illegal. The Joey Mod doesn't reduce the amount of light emitted, just reduces the spread of the light, which is not illegal.
