It has a 6 speed box, but what ive read is that they didnt put the 6 speed on them until 02? another question ive got is that a lad round by me also has a gti lupo. 54 plate i think. He says that 54 and 55 plate gti's came with dif's? is this true as ive never seen anything about dif's being fitted as standard..Ben. Defcon5 Posted April 21, 2013 Report Share Posted April 21, 2013 I think the 6 speed box was an option from launch and then standard fit after 02?As Rich says, no Lupo came with any kind of mechanical differential, however all years had an electronic system that mimics one, called EDL, electronic differential lock, basically it applies the brake to a single wheel when it detects slip thus transferring torque to the wheel with more grip Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
