sam_shep
Hi all :-)Right hopefully my caddy will be going the weekend so I can start looking for a lupo. So time to start planning the engine conversion. I originaly wanted to drop in a g60, but was just wandering about putting the polo 1.6 gti engine and putting on a Eaton supercharger. what you guys think? Whats the power difference? And cost differences between the two?
lupo1.0se
Best to ask Casper on this one as he did the conversion on his gti.Heres his thread.http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=31082
Pete
Or just Andy peaks charged lupo, won a ton of shows and is for sale for an awesome price.
sam_shep
Il have a look at that thread after work. Or theres a third option which is completely different to the supercharger root, I have a 1.8 running twin webers I built for my caddy. Is there many lupos running carbs? Pete
I've not seen any in the flesh but seen a few on YouTube etc, plus Keith Mitchell's ran bodies. Sounded ferocious.
VolkswagenDan
I think a g60 engine would have more win though. You've gotta remember these are dying out. Even the name sounds ****ing cool. I know I'd go for the g60 personally; just say "G60 Lupo" to yourself a few times and you'll see why
