bg02gar Posted December 27, 2012 Report Share Posted December 27, 2012 water coming in through somewhere! dripping through lining on roof in car! above the sun visors, the only thing i can think of is sunroof didnt want to pull the lining back just yet just incase i ruin it very upset but i dont know where it could be coming from?any of you guys experienced this problem? electricracer Posted December 27, 2012 Report Share Posted December 27, 2012 open sunroof right back, have a look in both front corners of the roof, there is a small drain hole in each. these have pipes runing down to bottom of the front wings and often block up allowing water to collect in the roof and spill into the car.if you slowly pour water down each you will see one (or both has blocked) best way to clear is to CAREFULLY push a wire or cable down as far as it will go then follow up with water to flush out. DONT push to hard if its blocked as you can dislodge pipe, also once the water starts flowing out you will see where it comes out from the wing good idea to clear this out too.the sunroof is not designed to be 100% water tight hence the drain holes Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

electricracer Posted December 30, 2012 Report Share Posted December 30, 2012 if the drains are clear how come the water is not going down them?might be an idea to take the trim panel off the sunroof first and try and see where the water is coming init is a factory sunroof isn't it??
