And any simple instructions of how its done? Also, is it possible to lock/unlock the boot with the keyfob on this kit? Not boot popper, just simply lock or unlock it.Appreciate any help. cheers

Skezza
there is, but ive not found like a definitive guide that has said its easy or hard to be honest
Pete91
There's a how to here:http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=81388
Skezza
So Pete, you reckon that if I remove the bonnet pull and the plastic the wires should already be there.Does that apply to the 1.0E base model, no electric windows, no central locking, cigarette lighter and engine only model?
Skezza
Out of curiosity, would these kits be compatible with VAGCOM or are they basically independent units? As in, there's a VAGCOM setting to automatically lock central locking after a few seconds of driving, is this possible with these?
Pete91
If you don't have the connection blocks then the vehicle specific guide rclick give you will tell you where all the wires go
DannyParanoid
I didn't have the connection blocks so just ran power from the battery for it
Skezza
How much power from the battery does it draw? Also compatible with VAGCOM? I guess not. Edited September 27, 2012 by Skezza
JoeA
I had my right click alarm armed for 2 weeks and still unlocked and started first time when i got back. And no no vagcom. Gruntilla
also interested if the boot can be added on to a 3rd button key
Skezza
Doubt it, but i'll see if I can find anything
Pete91
I think you might be able to do it if you put an actuator into the boot?
Skezza
I think you might be able to do it if you put an actuator into the boot?yeah but you would need extra wiring and that would be a bitch
Pete91
Hmm yeah see your point. You could maybe try take the setup from another lupo that has a remote lock boot and stick the wires up and along the roof lining?
JoeA
The third button isnt a boot button, theres lock, unlock, and silent lock.Your best bet is to have the boot solenoid wired up to the rest so the whole car is locked or unlocked
mrw2311
Oh right okay,I've been looking and found a central locking boot actuator from a mk3 golf, do you think that would fit? It looks the same
mrw2311
And to clear it up, I'm just looking to make the boot lock/unlock with the key, not an actual boot popper. Cheers
JoeA
Just get a solenoid...

JoeA
Don't know I pay an auto electrician. I do car audio myself but I won't start splicing looms on my daily car lol

Skezza
Don't know I pay an auto electrician. I do car audio myself but I won't start splicing looms on my daily car lolLol. It's not the splicing that would worry me, worst comes to worst, you bullet clip them using a double ended barrel, it's getting the connections right that worries me. Later today, I might try and whip off the plastic case by the bonnet release and see if I can find the wiring that may or may not be there. If it's not there, to me, it's a no go. I aren't running new wiring down through my dashboard. I simply cannot chance it on my daily.
