VWFTW Posted August 19, 2012 Report Share Posted August 19, 2012 Hi CL..Thinking about wiring up some rear speakers into my Lupo..I didn't realise I had the wholes in my rear panels for speakers and tweeters!I'm thinking about upgrading my head unit so I can 'Fade' the speakers..I was just wondering if it's possible to wire up the rear speakers through VW Lupo Standard 6 Disc Changer head unit?If so how isit done?What are the hole sizes for the Rears?Are they 7" ?Anyway..Thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
lupygav Posted August 20, 2012 Report Share Posted August 20, 2012 Hi The 6 disc just runs through the head unit rather than power the speakers, my GTI originally had a single disc in it and i just junked it along with the vw HU and fitted an after market one with a sub-out. Do it it sounds much better! IIRC the rear speakers are the same size as the fronts so 6" will see you right.
