Baker_888
Hi guysIve been driving my Arosa 1.0 for just over a week now, and over the last 2 days, 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear I have to force them in, with the clutch all the way down to the floor. and whenever i put it in reverse it will crunch without fail! Just wondering if there is anything i should look out for? anyway of fixing the problem?
craigg!!
Sounds like the pedal box. Search the forum there is loads of topics about this. Very common fault.

JGTTDI2
I had the same problem with my arosa 1.0 a few weeks ago and i thought it was the pedal box too, it always crunched into gears etc then one day i heard a snap and thought the pedal box had failed and it turned out to be the clutch cable that snapped so i would check that.Hope that helps. bowers155
adjust clutch cables and gear linkages! on my old 1.0 one of the bolts came loose out of the linkage!
Gibbo VW
I had stiff gears, mainly going in to reverse and some of the other extreme gears like 1st and 5th on my TDi. I found that the gear linkages needed adjusting, but make sure you free off the threaded rod section beside the twist lock as they sometimes stick as well.
