yeah E38 is a biggy, i personally prefer VW fest as its more relaxed and theres a bit more going on but Edition is definitely worth the trip, even just to go see some of the 'special' cars in person lol

well problems are occuring

think i will be needing a new gearbox as this one doesnt half wine! and it crunches when it goes into first when going back down the gearbox which is abit strange? since ive had it , it has done it..

also exhaust is blowing and i have an engine problem, when its idling it seems to judder and sounds like its struggling to well stay alive lol its fine when im driving it, but when you come to stop at the lights or something it just feels like its going to stall itself. ive had the spark plugs changed and it wasnt them , all the oils have been changed, its been checked over but we cant seem to find what it is, thinking maybe its the idle control valve or something anyone have any ideas what it may be?

i dont think i will be ordering my coilovers anytime soon which is a downer, as i think its going to be an expensive on but ide much rather make her better anywayy ive decided today im going to make myself feel abit better and go and do abit of spraying will let you no how i get on

Hi Michelle. I had the juddering problem with mine too. When it was below 1500rpm the car would behave like it was gonna kangaroo or stall (never did), so I've had to keep downshifting or ride the clutch.

Turned out to be my flywheel. Had it skimmed (cost £50) and it's all good now (page 14 on my thread if you wanna see pics of the flywheel before and after)

Hope it's a cheap fix for you too

EDIT - saying that I just read that yours does it at idle, not when just in gear..........

and thanks joti haha yeh its fine when its going , just when its still she likes to play up! even first thing when you start it up its apsalutly fine for about 5 mins then it judders Lol ive been told its not a misfire but then someone's just said it sounds like one :s so im very confused hahaha

anywayyy ive been doing a few little bits today, i did try to get my head untit out because i wanted to spray the centre console but i gave up because it wasnt budging, will try again at weekend, also i had every screw driver going apart from the one i needed which is very annoying Lol

i managed to get these bits off and this is how it went ....

well as its been a lovely sunny day today i decided to do something productive on my day off and do a little bit more spraying

i need to respray the mirror as i stupidly put it back in place when it was abit tacky and it now has my finger print ingraved in it

I like that you've kept the chrome on the front badge & the silver wheels compliment it. White would go with the bodywork though obviously, tough call!
