(Sorry about the terrible photos, Blackberry at its best aye)

First thing on the list is to ditch the horrible wheels that the previous owner put on, but i haven't fully decided on the rest of the list.

The other day i decided to remove and re-trim my headliner due to the previous owner smoking in the car

Before:

After:

IMG-20120228-00765.jpg

Can defo say it looks alot better now.

Today i picked up a free (score) set of 15" steels courtesy of Ross (cheers bud) Can finally ditch the alloys

Im fairly new to the car scene as this is my first car, but i'm hoping to just have as much fun as possible. Progress might be slow, but ill eventually get there, thanks for reading

Dont worry about it bud it aint a stupid question.

Remove the 2 screws in each grab handle, then there's 3 screws on each sun visor.. 2 are hidden underneath the clip part, and 1 under a little cap. There's also a little ffold down flap just above the rear view mirror.. Fold it down and there should be just one screw. Then pop the interior light out which took me a little force and then the headlining should be ready to come out

I havvent put mine back in yet, but I presume its the same method but backwards :)

I hope this helps

De-badging the rear:

After:

IMG-20120219-00751.jpg

Pulling out some of the interior and found this.. hopefully can fit some hidden speakers here, gotta look into the wiring

IMG-20120221-00753.jpg

swapped my rather dingy aerial for something, lets say slightly smaller..

IMG-20120229-00774.jpg

And this is the difference in size..

nice looking lupo mate  what fabric did you use for your re trim it looks really good im thinking about doing my arosa soon where did you get big enough sheets to do a headliner from?

Thanks bud, glad your liking it. To be fair mate the whole idea for the interior came to me while i was walking through dunelm, and i managed to pick everything i needed up from there. the sheets are already wide enough to fit the headliner, but you probs need a cutting of around 1 and a half metres. hope this helps :)

  • 1 month later...

So its been a while since i last posted anything, but alot has happened in the last month or so.

for starters the car has finally been lowered, i know it can go lower but for now its gonna be at this height until i fully decide what wheels i'm going to go for.. heres some pics :)

IMG-20120401-00842-1.jpg

IMG-20120401-00840.jpg

and heres a shot of it standing its ground against a st

IMG-20120401-00844.jpg

Then unfortunately 3 weeks ago i had a little incident in the rain which involved a van.. luckily the damage isnt too bad but cause it was the corner abit of everything needed to be replaced...

the damage list is:

bonnet

wing

bumper

indicator surround panel

headlight

and front support pannel

IMG-20120418-00863.jpg

IMG-20120418-00862.jpg

and heres a couple shots of the (still) ongoing repair

IMG-20120508-00876.jpg

IMG-20120508-00881.jpg

and just to finish i have painted my wheels black seen as i dont have the cash at the moment for new wheels

IMG-20120508-00877.jpg

IMG-20120508-00879.jpg

IMG-20120508-00880.jpg

i know the car looks high here, but thats because it needed to be raised to get back into my garden

also i am looking to add a lupo 3L front bumper and grill, and would like some info as to where i could pick one up

thanks for reading
