So, now have sold my pioneer beast of a stereo and am getting coil overs.

First thing is the limit on them are 100mm so the question is is that low enough?

Anyone running 100mm drop or any pic of different drops. surprise.gif

Thanks,

100mm is pleanty low, for a rough idea just measure 10cm down from your sills. Main thing to look at is the cover on the CAT, as this is the lowest part - on mine anyway

My cat currently sits roughly 1.5 inches from the deck, and im by no means low

I've got about 20mm left on my coilovers and the front - so im 80 down :)

Yeah, 100 is wayyy pleanty! tbh i think in that picture i was a little bit higher than 80mm lol. best thing to do is get them on the car and go from there :) theres always ways of getting more lows

Just cos you've got 20mm left of tread doesn't mean your 80mm down!

The 100mm they quote is simply reccomended, or what is accepted in the TUV standard. Realistically they will go a bit lower. It's hard to tell how much lower down you actually are, best bet is to measure from the bumber/arch/sill down compared to a standard car but that will also take into account wheel/tyre size and even tyre pressure.

just try get the ones with the lowest quoted drop you can, it won't be as they say it is, its just a guideline in actual fact. besides you can always get busy on them if the drop isnt good enough for you.. you can chop springs, remove helpers, cut down bumpstops, fit smaller springs, smaller top mounts etc.

as for drilling new holes for the rear damper, ommfffg!

these little cars are surprisingly driveable on the floor too :shifty:
