Lupopo
Hi guys,First of all I have searched and couldn't find anything so please be gentle if i have missed it. I have just purchased an '05 plate GTi and was wondering how low i can go on kw v1 coilovers on the oem bathurst rims without any arch work or too much scrubbing? Thanks in advance.Jay
Bikerz
Depends how hard you drive it

Deadmetal
The beauty of height adjustable coilovers is that you can wind them down to a height you like and then go from there.go round the block, see if the rub, if they do wind 'em up a couple of turns. scotty_82
I dont think people get the concept of coilovers.
Pete
I used to call them coil covers. When I was 3. And instead of spaghetti I said bestketti.
Lupopo
I understand what a coilover is and how it works. I just wondered if anyone could answer the question to save me some spanner time!
Pete
To be honest mate it's trial and error, it's a bit difficult to give an accurate measurement as the coilovers you have or are getting are possibly set in the box at a different height to other people. So the only way you'll know for sure is to drop it down a thread or two at a time and take it for a spin and find out for yourself. I know that's not what you wanted to hear but that's how it is. STOP!!! Spanner time.

Deadmetal
It takes all of ten mins to jack car up wind the coils up or down.
pro3mark
What size tyres does it have? The original 205/45 R15 will have issues. Most 195/45 R15 tyres (which some fit) can go almost all the way down.
