Kermit Girl
The standard tyre size on the Lupo 1.4 TDI is 185/55/14 and for some reason this is much more expensive than most other sizes - just wondered if anyone had used a 185/60/14 instead and whether this would cause any problems? Michelins cost £60 for the 185/60/14 size but £93 for the 185/55/14 size so there is a huge difference! Hard to tell the difference when you look at the 2 different tyres. I know lots of people fit different wheels etc but not sure where you would stand with insurance just fitting a different size tyre to the standard alloys. Any comments or advice on alernatives? lupo_jack
Honestly i dont think insurance care about differet tyres tbh all the difference there is that profile of the tyre is smaller. And smaller the profile more expensive the tyre
BEP51
why use michelins? look at yokohama s-drives, much better price and a very good tyre.

Silver!
I ran 185\60\14 on BBS RJ 6" ET38 on my Arosa for a while, they are oversize and don't look too 'bonny', but will fit. No rubbing on -45mm springs.Your gearing will be out and your speedo will read 60mph when in fact you are doing 62mph.
