Been playing around in paint with some ideas for the rear.

Been contemplating a complete debadging and lighting...

And then an almost complete with say something like the mk3 golf rear badge?:

What do people think?

Haha general consensus is a no for the mk3 badge idea.

I think it probably looks most weird as it was just a bad paint edit where i made the original badge smaller but I kinda liked it oddly?

Thanks Ryan mate means a lot, I admire the work and look of your car a lot so that's nice to hear :)

I think the colour really suits the blue indeed and in the sun now it looks even better!

I look forward to doing some more things soon to show you all! :)

  • 2 weeks later...

For futher improvement to my cars backside I decided to make a flat parcel shelf with a ridge to stop anything placed on it rolling into people on the backseats heads.

This was my first go at trimming something and I think it's turned out pretty magnificently if i do say so myself... :)

Sorry, I don't like the Passat badge. Part of the quirkiness of the Lupo is it's oversized VW roundels and lamps.

Loving the wheels! The grey and blue theme looks awesome.

You do however need some wheelbolt covers.

I suppose it would be a very boring world if we all thought the same so no need to apologise :)

I like the idea of a badge on the back, but for me the original is just TOO big for my taste so had to go some way or another!

You are also not wrong about the wheelbolt covers, I am debating a colour for them though still :(

Thanks for your comments on the colour scheme, I was going to do white/blue but it's been done a lot and I also feel it's a little bit TOO powerful a contrast.

I think you should miss them a little bit more and give me your polished ones.

 I will let you know when there for sale ;)

Rear end looks tidy !!

Good work on the shelf :)

Agreed on the wheel nut covers, they are a must on the RW's !! VW ones are cheap

Ordered a new headunit the other day. Budget brand sure, and the screen quality is not the BEST i've ever seen. But the Satnav and all the functions work and the sound quality is actually a bit improved from my last aftermarket headunit. For £300 for a satnav and double din with 4v pre-outs etc it's brilliant atm, i also think it looks pretty fitting qualitywise for the era of the lupo!

Anyway, after a long time fitting due to the mass of cables behind and some cutting etc. here it is!
