Chrisbee
Thanks guys. There's huge chunks taken out of the alloy so it will need an alloy weld to fill it. Using filler will just crack over time. Most places round here charge 60+ per wheel depending on size and how much damage needs repairing. That's it being acid dipped repaired and powder coated etc
Chrisbee
Time for an update, Done quite a few things over the winter months as well as collecting parts for further mods.first off during the massive rain we had my car flooded, only discovered this when the rear parking sensors stopped working as the spare wheel well had filled with water and was running down into the back seats.Turned out the cambridge lights i had fitted were leaking, they had filled up to the point where water was pouring out through the loom plug into the boot.Took a few weeks to strip everything out and dry out.inside the rear lense was covered with water stains, the only way to clean this is to split the lenses, i knew this wasnt going to end well and i was right it didn'texcuse the crappy phone picturesso i'm on the hunt for a new one to replace it.treated the car to some snow foamrunning as low as i am (not that low compared to some) the lower brace had been torn in halfGoing to raise it slightly and get a new one fitted as i intend on doing some track days so want the car to drive right.picked one of these up for a bargain price, great fun modpainted and fitted now.found somemore bargains on cone filters.]Set about testing and fitted different ones with different sized hoses as to which gave the best induction sound/performance.this was too bigfound a cheap engine cover so i could chop and mod it without ruining the original one.1400 conversion? yeah i wish Finally decided on this setup fits perfectrly and works well, i'll take some pics of it fully fitted when i get the chance.took a chance on a triple ported catch tank from china, delivered it came to half the price of ones over here!had some issues finding a suitable place to fit it, ended up going for a stealth hidden look to keep things oemStarted cutting up the airbox to mount and fit the tank as well as give clearance for the induction pipingThis was one of the designs i ended with but wasn't happy with it so changed the position slightly so it sits rightI've only just put it all together and fitted it so i haven#t got any pics yet but i do intend on painting the engine cover and making some plates up for the badges (going to use the logo of the tuning company that looks after the car)Thats about it for now, will get more/better pictures soon just waiting for the weather to turn. I've also got myself a dash cam so can put some footage up if anyone interested (will be filming my track days too)

Chrisbee
then found this for a very good pricepicked this up on a whim should be a fun fit and will look goodNow the conversion, going full brake conversion running 288 discs with iviza cupra hubsgot a full a3 turbo brake setup for £30!starting to refurbish themsoaked in vinegarthen wire brushedto fit the rear brakes i'm going full rear beam conversion so i bought thisibiza cupre rear beam with built in arb but then realised the suspention is different (doh!) so thats being sold and i'm awaiting full gti spec one.then discovered the audi rear carriers wont fit so i'll be running gti onessadly 14in wheels wont fit over 288 discs so it pains me but the starlites will have to go as they'll be useless to me so keep an eye out for a sale thread.I have however already purchesed their replacements but i'll keep them under wraps for now.
