So you are saying you were aware of it and still let it happen :coffee:

I'm sure the new wheels look better. B)

Right just to confirm i havnt died....

These past few months have been crapppy!!

I wasn't able to walk for weeks due to my knee, which meant i cudn't work

Thennnn to top it off i got layed off due to no work on

So this means no money to spend on the Lupo :(

Thankfully i got taken back a few weeks ago and my knee is on the mend so its time to get to work again...

After months and months of looking i finally got my hands on a decent front indicator surround and a black center console, Thanks to the good lupo lads of Hinckley

FILE0054.jpg

FILE0055-1.jpg

Ive practically finished the front end now

The upper bumper is all ready in primer

And i replaced the old cracked indicator panel, still in black for the moment

FILE0064edit.jpg

I then got round to flatting down the black indicator panel..

DSC_064512.jpg

And got some primer on that too..

DSC_00032.jpg

So i started on the lower bumper

This is what it looked like when i got it off

Scraped and batterd fromt the tarmac

FILE0185-1.jpg

So i flatted it all down which was a pain on the lower grill part, so fiddley..

DSC_0645108.jpg

Then to add the filler..

DSC_0645112.jpg

The finished product all ready for paint

Ive also fitted this...

Its a 5 paddle clutch kit from C&G Motorsport

Really recommend these guys i am so happy with it its made a hell of a difference!

Here's a few pictures of its current sad state on steelies :(

DSC_0121.jpg

Just have to make up for it by making the paint shine :)

FILE00832.jpg

I also had to put my old 'legal' plates back on

I must have been pulled and warmed atleast 10 times for them being illegal

Due to them being pressed, german font and the D stamp so i had to take them off :(

looking good fella even on steels.

The right set of wheels will make or break this car for me now.

what is the noticeable difference with the 5 paddle clutch ?

Cheers for the positives lads :)

Im not a fan of it on the steelies

I have a few sets of wheels and have been trying a few out

Just trying to decide what wheels to end up running on it

Its either take the easy root and find some alright wheels for it orrrr...

Go balls deep and do something pretty outrageous aha

im not going to say too much but expect some sort of archwork ;)

(if everything goes as planned that is)

As for the clutch

I have had it in around 2 months now

The bite is quite harsh but not too harsh so that its a pain to drive around town or in traffic jams

Also changed the fluid and the pedal is incredible light and smooth its awesome

I would definatly recommend one for a tdi that has been re-maped.

its a must for the money as i found the standard one cudnt cope with the remap especially with 4 people in the car.

The guy said it should handle 200bhp + and more than enuff torque

Which is the main reason i uprated it as i eventually hope to see what's possible to get out of the little 3 popper.

But i have the bodywork to finish first before i can think about doing that :(

Thats ace mate thanks for the write up, NFBR is looking at another possability at the mo for a few people but at least i now know theres an option out there for us!

I wanted a white tdi so bad, also with open air but theres more chance of tina turner making me bangers and mash for tea

Once again its taken me over a month to update my thread

Here's a few things ive been up to..

Speakers fully **** the bed...

DSC_0111.jpg

Manage to get my hands on these for an utter bargain so i wired them all in..

DSC_0123.jpg

DSC_0118.jpg

DSC_0115.jpg

I then got a subtle boot buil off a mate of mine from his lupo Gti...

DSC_0267.jpg

I then removed the 8" jbl and replaced it with a 10" Hifonics Brutus.

I also made a larger box which is alot more solid and sealed with no port.

And it also matches the paintwork ;) aha

I left a gap either side so i can fix the 2 amps either side on the underneath.

Just need to tidy up the amp wireing and find a better place for the Xovers then cover it in acoustic fabric and it will be finished.

Just need to try find the cover under the handbrake and the cigarette lighter "hatch" in black and get my mate to fix up and get the front seats from his garage and the interiors finally all the same colour lol
