craigg!!
My arosa has started to use a fair bit of coolant lately, from the max it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to drop below to min and the warning light come on. Iv checked under the bonnet and there's no signs of leaks. I noticed the exhaust is smoking a lot now aswell, I polished the exhaust up and then the same day after a 10mile drive it was filthy again and a bit wet. Head gasket maybe? Is this common as its only done 45k? Oh and its a 1.4 arosa sport. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks
scotty_82
Is the smoke white ?If there is no water in the oil then the head gasket has gone or the head is cracked and the water is getting into the exhaust and coming out as white smoke. Mike_M
Clean coolant pipes until spotless and check for leaks at joints
PaperWeight1
There's only 2 ways it can leak, internally or externally. If you can't see any external leaks then it's time to compression test and rule out the HG.

Defcon5
No, it isnt cooled at all, bar radiating heat from the unit and pipework itself
