Tigz™
Nice one, makes my search for a O/S hub that little bit easier.could you keep an ear out for a Polo O/S hub mate, as Id imagen it'd be the same?

morgs
Does this mean the Tarox 6 pot brake kit for the Polo 1.6 16v/Polo G40 will fit straight on to the lupo gti? You can find them here, http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk
RobinA3
on the webiste they say that the discs are 280mm x 22mm, so i dunno if the kit comes with all the carriers etc needed for the bigger discsbut i don't see why the polo gti brakes won't fit on the 1.4 16v brakes. tshirt2k
i think i may go for the 280mm disk setup. I've found somewhere thats got a set of calipers/carriers quite cheap. I'm just thinking, do they fit behind the bathursts???
GTi Si
What are a good disk and pad combo for upgrade the standrd GTi stuff?I found the standard stuff suprisingly good.S
Arvid
here a lot of people like Ferodo discs with DS2500 pads
starbank
I swapped recently to Pagid `8-Groove` discs on the front with the Pagid fast road pads. I'll be replacing the rear brakes with Pagid in April. Like chalk and cheese when compared with the pish standard `set-up`.
GTi Si
Thanks, will look into them both style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />S
LINCOLNSHIRESLUPOGTI
Just to clarify that Tigz you were right mate... I have MK3 Golf VR6 pads in the front as they are thicker than MK2 16V pads. Who cares if they had 5 stud discs, makes no odds to the pads! tshirt2k
LINCOLNSHIRESLUPOGTI . Why did you grind down the caliper carriers? or was it the calipers? I'm on the verge of doin this mod but need to know if they will fit behind the bathursts.
RobinA3
i have heard that you need to grind off 2mm from the G60 carriers to make them align up for the discsdunno how true this is but this is what i have heard
