Matt_Matt
Has anyone had experience of removing the rubbing strips of the exterior of their Lupo's? I've noticed several pictures including on here and think i prefer without. Any advice on the best/easiest way to remove with minimal effort or do i just boil the kettle and my credit card to remove the adhesive?Cheers
Silver!
Firstly I would make sure there has been no remedial bodywork as it wouldn't be the first time where the strip has come off to show different colour or leave peeling paint edges.I would recommend some gentle heat to soften the sticky stuff and cut behind with dental floss or an old credit card type thing.Once you get it off, the hard work starts. Use a solvent or sticky stuff remover to get rid of what is left.Good luck and I hope your fingers don't get to sore. You can get a toffee wheel for your drill to remove it if you wish.Whichwever method you use, make sure you give the panel a good clean and polish after.
