Ok, time to drag this up again.... no point in starting a new thread!

Right, so I want to increase the spacer size on my rear wheels, to give a slightly better poke...

Currently I am running some BBS 7J ET 42 wheels with a 17mm spacer giving a final ET of 25.

I am contemplating running a 20mm spacer instead, meaning I will be sat at ET 22 on a 16x7 rim, shod with 195/40 profile tyres.

The question is, will this be too much without arch rolling? I do not get scrubbing at present.... :coffee:

Oh and the final question, will I be ok with my current longer bolts, which are 40mm, in conjunction with a 20mm rear spacer or not???

I think tyre size may be a factor on how far out you can go , on 165's id have thought you might squeeze a 15mm one , 10mm for the safe size.

You could always take a tape measure or rule and measure it to see.
