olethalb
i didn't buy the gti with the intention of doing it, i had already fitted it to a 6n polobut the 6n needed alot of work, i was using the gti as my daily so thought as it was a clean car why not - i got nearly £1500 back on all the gti stuff i sold so it evened out really, got all the gti bits i wanted too.Olly

olethalb
you source all the parts and it'd be in the £500 region for labour / custom mounts / loom etc as well as removing all the old stuff. depending on spec too.Olly

MattyA
Nice work, but I would have keep the GTI identity too, I think they got the look of the it just right. Not taking anything away from the build though, good job done.
bantan45
now then dude nice 1 ya dne there,so wat kind of task was it linking the early 90s loom to the 2000 fusebox?cos i dont have a clue abt the 2000 fuse box,cos am using a 1990 golf engine in my 1998 6n but the loom and fusebox is the same as a 2000 6n2
olethalb
i used a 98 6n 16v loom and spliced it all to go into the 6n2 fuse box.98 is the change over year on the 6n, pre 98 they have the earlier type 'blade' connector fuse box. i just picked on up today actually.Olly
