Damodcd Posted June 7, 2009 Report Share Posted June 7, 2009 i have a 2003 tdi arosa, every couple of weeks when i am starting my car it doesnt wanna start up, i cant work it out, the rest of the time it starts up fine and runs sweet as a nut!! has any one ealse had the same problem?? luupo Posted June 7, 2009 Report Share Posted June 7, 2009 i have the same problem i've got lupo 99' and it starts up but some times it doesn't and black smoke comes out of exhaust pipe...don't know what it is??????????so you are not the only one... jonisonvespa Posted March 14, 2012 Report Share Posted March 14, 2012 glow plugs,they are basically mini heaters that are in the cylinder, when you turn on the ignition they heat up and aid the combustion when the cylinder is cold.to test them use a multimeter they buz out in the single figure ohms.
