sheps
So i have been looking to get one for a while and saw that venom were doing them for around £140 but now they have shot up to over £200 anyone know why or where i can get one cheaper and is it worth it performance wise or should i just stick a k&n filter in as i already have the cleaning kit from having them in the past
VinnyGTI
What most people do including myself is to use the standard airbox and stick a K&N panel filter in, also a few people have smoothed inside their airbox and drilled holes in and re-routed the cold intake pipe. It makes a nice sound too.
Defcon5
What about a DIA instead of a CDA?

It actually seems to flow slightly better than the CDA, although gains from this are counteracted as it is not made from Carbon Fibre so does not insulate against the engine bay temperatures quite as well. » DIA for Lupo 1.4 16v

Ryan-GTI
Is there any other alternatives to the BMC.I'm sure i seen a K&N on a random site for half the price. I may be wrong.

Many people myself included have been messed around and waited a couple of weeks before the goods turn up. But it give you an idea of what's out there. BMC looks like the best value enclosed ones but. Might have to end up going for one of them.
simpo
I had one on mine, and imo the sound is worth the £150. Don't expect gains as even if there are any you won't feel it, but the noise is fantastic.
Ryan-GTI
Yeah I'm not expecting performance gains. Just getting one for the sound and look.
