cardaft
If you buy cheap tyres you get what you expect really, really cheap tyres look and grip like plastic! At least your not getting part worns now though, thats worse! If someone is slashing your tyres, get them nicked! Its criminal damage. It might be worth checking you tyre pressure if you have not done so since you got the new tyres, pressure makes a big difference to grip and handling. Make sure you check them when they are cold (i.e. before you drive on them for a while), could well make a difference When i got my 1.0 it tramlined really badly. I put it down to the tyres being far overinflated, which i then set to the correct pressure, so the front tyres had worn more in the middle. And also the Kumhos had a deep wide groove down the centre of the tread, which didnt help.
cardaft
My Ibiza still has it's original tyres on at nearly four years old. Do you not use it? VW recommend you dont use tyres once they are 6 years old, so you had better start driving it harder
IDGM
It gets used, but has only just done 25000 miles. This is proof the TDI has been a waste of money really, but who cares? It's only money.
Putney
My bike tires would last 3000-4000 miles before they needed changing.... They are a lot softer though...12000 miles is about right for a car tire.
Daz_Kez
why skimp on car tyres?they are the only 4 things holding you to the road?but it sounds like your tracking hasn't been done properly to be honest
