The Green Goddess Posted October 12, 2008 Report Share Posted October 12, 2008 Hi my names Rob, Im Jo's Brother and for a early B'day Present i detailed her car ready for E38.Because i had other commitments i couldnt take pictures of the results so ive 'borrowed' some from this forum, I hope this is ok?Anyhow the detail...As a early birthday present i arranged to detail my sisters 'Phantasia green' Lupo in preperation for Edition 38First i removed the faded flower stickers using a heat gun & Tardis for the residue then got the car back to myhouse and took some picsAs you can see the paint wasnt in the best state and very flat!So i set to it the next day...Sprayed the wheels/tyres & Arches with APC and scrubbed using various brushesWashed offThen foamed using a mixture of hyper wash & Citrus degreaserWhite wall tyres anyone??I then turned my attention to the engine bayUsing super degreaser & Apc to clean then dressed with Megs all season we got this resultDoorshuts then cleaned with APC and a swissvax brushCitrus degreaser sprayed on lower half of the carCar foamed with snow foam and CG's Maxi sudsRinsedWashed using 2BM, maxi suds & ShMittRinsed then clayed with fine polyclay and Last touchRinsed again then dryed with last touch and a waffle drying towelAll dryed off and ready to go in the garage for polishingI didnt have much time to take pics as i was doing 2hrs a nite after work But car was taped up and after starting with Menz Intensive and SFX1 and having no luck, moved to Menz power glosson a SFX1, Then refined with Menzs final finish PO85RD on a SFX2.Paint was then cleansed with Dodo lime prime on a SFX3 pad ready for waxingWaxed using 1 coat of Dodo 'Purple Haze' & 2 coats of 'Rainforest rub' Applied by hand and buffed with sonus towelswindows cleaned with AG fastglass and a microfibreAll plastics treated with Areospace 303 protectdoorshuts waxed with collonite 476Car hoovered out and seats/carpets/plastics cleaned with AS multifresh and brisk then dressed with poorboys naturallook dressing Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
