Wolfie
I'm looking for a black leather interior for my Lupo GTI. Any ideas. Also, will the GTI cope with pop out windows?Wolfie
bossjohnc
You're very very unlikely to get leather Lupo interior.Hear that a MK3 Golf's front seats will fit straight in though.Other than that a retrim may be the way to go.I can't think why a GTi wouldn't cope with pop out windows - it's been the subject of a couple of discussions on here in the past, and the only reason people can think for it not having them is that it might make it easier to pinch. Can't see any other logical explanation for it not having them myself.
twisty b-road
The salesman who sold me mine said it was an insurance related security reason why it didn't have the option of opening rear windows from the factoryMind you, he was driving a 5 speed GTi himself and I told him it had ally panels and variable valve timing so maybe that was just waffle...................***salesman checking the spec in the brochure***"Oh yeah aluminium doors, wings and bonnet""Told you, and look there. Variable valve timing"
bossjohnc
In fact - if you were serious about this leather interior, one way would be to buy the yellow sport being advertised in 'for sale', swap interiors, and then sell it on.If I had the money I might even consider that!! Marqs_Loopy
 I'm asking around various trimming companies for prices as i am looking to possibly retrim it. I have also been considering R32 front seats as i want to create an OEM style mota.
carter
Audi A3 and Golf Mk4 seats will bolt straight in, Golf Mk 3 seats have a different fixing on the front and will not fit.

Snoopy
No, I checked that out too, a few months ago. Sadly not, according to the Mk4 boys style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
AndyW
I thought it was generally agreed they wouldn't fit, certainly not the ones out of the tt anyway, but maybe we were wrong.
Snoopy
The Mk4 Golf seats will fit, the TT seats will not. They're not the same.
Blackrat
so whats the diff with mk3 and mk4 seats ? i know mk 1 and mk2 are the same , to fit mk3 into a mk1 you gotta bend one leg in as the tracking is wider on the mk3
