Weeman Posted August 24, 2004 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 Its taken me the best part of 4hours but ive finally got my inside rearview mirror off style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Think its easy? give it a try lol they stuck the damn thing on with some super duper rubber concrete gear this stuff has been the hardest to get off you could hang a freakin house off a tree with this.Could have used a hot gun but chicken out as id have set me car a light so used the tryed and tested dental floss rountine, ie 2 trips to tesco and 4 lots of floss later :? Gonna have to get rid of the excess left on the black sticker (part of the windscreen) then a trip to my local windscreen supplier to get my supa dupa new un stuck on.Oh and managed to get my new gear knob on last night after my lasses dad `re-engineered` it.nxt stop anywhere to get a new gear gaitor :roll: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Snoopy Posted August 24, 2004 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 Uhm.Don't know if I really want to say this at this point, but...There are two parts to the mirror, the bit that's cemeted to the glass, and the rest of the assembly (the mirror casing, and the mirror mount). If you just want to fit a different colour mirror, you can just remove the mirror mount by rotating it firmly 90 degrees. Takes about 10 seconds.
