steering wheel

this morning when i started the loop i got a wee puff of smoke from behind the steering wheel anyone else had this.

everything still working fine all lights etc went off no faults with airbag though i did have the clock spring changed in the past.

any idea's?

Maybe a fuse? This happend on an old 306 (turboD - legend!) I was in, but then you expect it from a french car.
