When the boot is closed the light is on, but it aint as bright as when the boot is actually open.Heres with the Boot open: border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" />and when the boot is closed it fades a bit but still stays on?Any suggestions techies? Tigz™
I pulled my wire out in the end as I got sick of it comin on.Had to `re-attach` it in the end as I realised my Alarm Id just spend £200 on didnt sound if my boot got broken into! lolSame responce as John, has your rear wash started leaking? MacGargoil
yup water pishing into the sensor, happened to me in the middle of the night and the alarm kept going off every 10mins all night long!
DubDub
Where is the sensor? Is it a case of stripping the Boot hatch?
Tigz™
Take off your plastic cover from the boot door and you'll see the black wire leading to behind the boot door handle.
MacGargoil
take off the trim on the inside of the boot lid. put the window spray connector back on to the nozzle nipple. wipe away the moisture and then use a hairdryer on the entire area for a few mins. this worked for me! philbee
Its a well known problem at VW. Either the rear wash wipe pipe or the wiper module is broken. The sensor is on the door latch directly below the wiper. Had exactly the same problem on my 02 GTI.Take it back to VW and get it fixed under warranty. gargoil
I superglued the pipe on, which probably not the best solution but it stops it! I also got a small plastic bag and covered up the electrics just in case it happens again!
