CapnAHAB
I popped to VAG today to get a battery genuine VAG 61 amp (for my lupo tdi), the guy saud they've upgraded them recently, mentioned more cells or some such, and then took £97 off me. Silver!
I've had the same problems with the short journeys in the past. Can't remember correctly , but I'm sure I put a heavy duty battery in the Arosa last year.I have always gone for the heavier duty battery and never had a problem. Dark
havent had any problems with my gti battery. i always close the electric windows/sunroof/ turn lights off before turning the engine off, i think that saves battery drain. mukilupo
I have just found out that my GTI needs 60ah battery not 45ah,as fitted by previous owner. Thanks.
Dark
varta batterieslooked up lupo gti, you can get replacement 60ah, or 70 and 77ah upgrades for the gti.not bad to know.although i would go in the other direction and get smaller ones to save weight. i have driven with 12ah motobike battery before. not very reliable lol.the best batteries to get are the varley red top, i have had one of these race batteries and it was excellent. not much bigger area than palm of hand and about palm lenght high, but had big cranking amps capability. totaly sealed aswell, so good for boot usage. demon tweeks do them.
