lupogtiboy
on autodata, it says EVAP canister purge valve, fuel pressure, injector(s), HO2Sso it could be an lambda probe fault! (Hot Oxygen Sensor 2) which is in front of the cat i think (bank 1) Edited February 5, 2006 by lupogtiboy
Snoopy
I'd go for the lambda sensor due to it showing up as intermittent - lambda sensors commonly don't go from working fine to not working, they instead go through a period of being a bit dodgy. Most of the other stuff on that list would fail completely if it failed, apart from possibly the injector - but I'd expect other errors as well if there was a dodgy injector. tshirt2k
epc could be brake light switch. also if DBW take off plug from TB and spray with WD 40. you may also want a scan 'cos engine light can mean lots of things, not just lambda

Solved the problem. But now warranty over!Book says that the highlighted lights mean lambda sensor problem.Got no idea what DBW is or TB for that matter?? tshirt2k
DBW = Drive by Wire . TB= Throttle body.Don't worry about the book, it can mean anything associated with the engine. You need a scan to determine what the fault is.
-=R LUPO
Ok how much will that cost, aint going to VW as got my fingers burnt there!
tshirt2k
think some with vag com may do it for a drink. But vw charge around £50 -£60 just to check the fault then more to fix it .
