Crusoe
i'd be worried about stone chips taking off chunks of paint on a black one, looks bad enough on silver but might look terrible on a black one that was used daily.
Snoopy
Bonus of black is it's relatively easy to touch up without looking too bad.Or you could armourfend it - I plan to when I finally get round to getting my front end resprayed. Crusoe
always winced when a stone got flicked up onto the paintwork, usually took a decent chunk with it though at least the silver almost matched the colour underneath. couple of hundred on those protection films is probably well spent if you want to keep it perfect. Snoopy
Should see my mate's yellow S1 Elise - 60,000 miles on it, it's yellow at the back and white on the front now, so little paint left!

AndyW
Good cars, the both of them, would serve you well I'd have thought. Can't get excited about them in least though.
tdwindustries
same here, but they seem a real bargain. 1 owner under 2 years old, still in warranty. 0-60 in 5secs. subtle in black too.common as escorts used to be though
AndyW
How long are you keeping this next car Tim? And a daft question, but what do you want after it?
tdwindustries
haha well depends on how much money i make style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />a year i guess
Max
Exactly the same decision I had Tim. As I was doing work for Subaru I could have got a cheap one, still chose a second hand VX over it and never regretted it. Just have to take the abuse from the Subaru people for driving a 'brids' car. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
AndyW
a year i guessVX then. As if you needed me to tell you. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
BigMon
The Scooby does seem to have "lost it" a bit doesn't it. It was only a few years ago since everybody was lusting after them.I put it down to the "frog" model and, more importantly, cheap imports driven idiotically by numpties and chavs.Apparently one of the biggest binds of having a new one is getting an 18 yr old draw up alongside at the lights and wanting to race.
