lil kez Posted January 12, 2006 Report Share Posted January 12, 2006 Hi everyonejust need some advice really.I went out the other day and parked my car up while i did a bit of sun bedding and when i cam back to the car someone had smashed my drivers side mirror.the glass is cracked and the casing is pretty mashed too but the mechinism still works fine.What i want to know is can i get any lupo mirror and just fit the electronic motor and stuff from my GTi mirror or wont that be possible??Thanksx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mike_M Posted January 13, 2006 Report Share Posted January 13, 2006 (edited) You can put any Lupo/Polo mirror cap on as they are all interchangable and the same with the glass (some are not heated like the GTI).There is one lower screw and a large clip near it that you need to lever carefully to allow the mirror cap to pop off............remember to take the glass out first.Thanks to Tigz I took his manual mirrors and transfered the mirror caps to my electric ones as mine were damaged too.Just come back from Germany and was so tempted to buy a euro stubby mirror to match the drivers side as it so much more cheaper out there, but ran out of time.
