Driving back from a friends house last night i had trouble getting my GTI into 4th. Then it started making this grinding noise and i could smell what smelt like a burning clutch. PUlled off the road and waited for the RAC to come check it out and the bloke who turned up said that the hydraulic for the clutch has broke?? U can get it into gear with the engine off but with the engine on it wont go into any gear style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> The car is now at VW in southend and im waiting for them to call me back to let me know what is up with him. Anyone else had this kinda problem with their GTI? OH it was £79+VAT for them to just look at it style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

they are nice do they not do any with the reverse light tinted red aswell?

Is there any other rear lights available for the lupo apart from the lexus ones? If so where can i get them from? Thanks x

Hey, im having a few probs with my car at the mo and i was wondering if you lot would know whats up with it? lately it seems to be really jurkey when you come off the throttle. it also does it sometimes when your just crusing about. it just wont run smoothly any ideas what could be causing this the car is just coming up to 40k and is due a service but it would be causing this would it? Thanks xx

i think its the same as the Vtec system with a set change over point. think its set at about 5000rpm thats about all i can help on im afraid style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> xx

Hi everyone just need some advice really. I went out the other day and parked my car up while i did a bit of sun bedding and when i cam back to the car someone had smashed my drivers side mirror. the glass is cracked and the casing is pretty mashed too but the mechinism still works fine. What i want to know is can i get any lupo mirror and just fit the electronic motor and stuff from my GTi mirror or wont that be possible?? Thanks x

its unbelievable where apart from VW can i get hold of the cam belts?

ive just phoned VW and they want about £700 to do the 40k service on mt GTI and change the cam belt what is exactly involved in the 40k service as a friend of mine is chief mechanic at the local audi and he said he would do the service for me for allot less

Hi peeps i got my lupo Gti about 2-3 weeks ago now and i want to start doing things to it ive been looking at a scorpion exhaust and maybe lowering it on some 16"x8" wheels (not sure what ones yet) can anyone give me some advice on the best places to buy the exhaust and lowering parts and what wheels do ppl reckon would look good on a black GTI?? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

ive never rated green stuff pads they seem to take a while to get warmed up before they work as they should and who wants that on the road think its coz of the materials they use to stop them producing as much dust as normal pads. Just dont think they do the job well enough. Tarrox dics with Pagid pads seem to be a good combo on my past cars x
